Churnet Valley Railcars in 2006

M50455 & M50517 continued running an intensive DMU service. Meanwhile, the group's restoration of Centre Trailer M59137 progressed, concentrating mainly on exterior work. Metalwork was removed and the rest sandblasted and the mammoth task of the lower-half reskin was started. We also received a very generous donation for the expensive lino for the centre trailer.
