Churnet Valley Railcars in 2004

After nine years of restoration work, M50455 & M50517 were ready for testing on the line, after fooling the public with its pristine exterior from 2002. A series of test runs were undertaken and the set appeared at a few galas. The set also appeared at the Railcar50 event in October on the Severn Valley Railway, the set being launched into traffic only a few weeks previously.
