Telford Steam Railway 104s
When preserved three of the twelve vehicles that needed a home were moved to Oswestry, these included two vehicles to be broken for spares (as several other vehicles were missing components) plus unique Eastern Region survivor 59228. This, and 53556 which was stored at Sheffield, were the only 104s fitted with Formica to be saved, and 59228 is unique, having a brake van even though it's a centre car. The three were then moved to the Telford Steam Railway and were later joined by 53556 where the two vehicles intended for spares, 53479 & 53531, became an operational two car set with the Eastern vehicles remaining stored. All four vehicles are in as withdrawn BR Blue with no route indicators.
53479, 53531, 53556 & 59228 don't have a group website, but you can find out more about the Telford Steam Railway by clicking on the logo below
